I find that weird as I had that experience.

A few weeks ago I received a text from the van centre that supplied Albert. Basically we have a shed load of T5's still in stock, will offer you a new 15 plate for £4k off and do part ex on your 13 plate. Urgent, respond by text before 20th July.

I don't want to p/ex Albert right now, too early, but being nosey I just had to reply. Reply By Text, by email, by email to the parent company, by text again, by text yet again, by phone .... "oh, the person you need to speak to is on holiday, come back after the 20th" ..... "er... the offer ends on the 20th"..... silence.

In the end three emails, 5 texts and a telephone call and I am still waiting for a reply.

That's really kind of you, thank you. It's quite delicate at the moment but I may take you up on that in the future!

Ha, keep working on it, my wife was against it - didn't want to give up flying off somewhere hot but after hiring one twice we all agreed it was so much more fun than a week or two on a beach. The worst that can happen is after 12/24 months you have given it a go and it didn't work out so you sell it - there will be buyers waiting.
 
Went into my local dealer today and he could order a t6 Cali but there wasn't an options price list for him to see yet. Pretty hard to order without knowing how much it'll cost.
He reckoned he'd order some stock ones today anyway and change the spec once the list was produced. Delivery before the end of the year apparently.

They've not even updated their own website with the T6 versions yet so I'm not too surprised.
 
whilst I am keen to buy, I'm not losing my mind and buying something without seeing options!
 
I've paid my deposit with SMG Cowfold, just waiting on seeing the options list before commiting. I've got a list in mind from a Google translated configurator on the German site.

It does seem that we get a few things as standard, although we pay more on the base vehicle.

Will be ordering an Ocean 150 DSG Acapulco Blue, Tour Pack, F&R parkpilot, 6.33 screen with app connect (Apple carplay).
 
So August 3rd is here. You can order a California but don't know what options are included or that you can order and you don't know how much it will cost ?
So why should anyone believe that delivery will be before years end?
Nothing on the VW website that I can find.:(

The base vehicle prices were released. There is also a dealer briefing note that does highlight some of the standard features. For any options I want I've worked with SMG & added 4% to the old options list to get a rough order of magnitude. It actually comes out at about the same as some of the last T5 SEs in the dealer network with options I didn't want to pay for through no choice.
 
When VW highlight that you get a new cup holder in the all new T6 you can see it's worth trading up from a T5 to a T6. Sorry I know sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, but I do feel that VW could have done more.

Still it's good for the residual values of the T5 !
 
I have had three emails/phone calls out the blue today from dealers trying to sell me brand new T6 Cali's, seems very odd as it is normally impossible to even get a call back from a dealer! As mentioned above, none of them had options lists available!

I've been telling dealers I will order as soon as they can take my order for months but nobody has shown any interest!

I expected at least one email or call today... nothing!

With this purchase I will make sure we find a dealer that wants our business.
 
so which dealers are on this forum that are interest in taking orders for a T6 ? any takers

Hi Paul ,we can order new California from 3rd of August onwards and we will have full options list from this date too. If you are still interested please give me a call.

Been emailed today by a dealer ... "I have been informed that we will now receive the options list tomorrow , HOPEFULLY !!!. When I do i'll forwarded it over to you" Fingers crossed then.

I've been told the same. Look forward to seeing it, wherever it comes from.
Looking at the T5 list, mine's likely going to be expensive: LED headlights, 2 extra seats, auxiliary heater, climate control, awning, tinted windows, reverse camera!

I wonder if there will be a Generation 6 two tone paint option too?

If you get that options price list could you shove it on here for us? The dealers I've spoken to seem a little in the dark as to when things will be given to them from on high!

I'm intrigued by that, too. The nicest combo 'in the metal' is, apparently, the blue and silver (according to a VW person I was talking to). I'd have to see it myself before speccing that - if it's even possible.

Found a shot online and it doesn't look bad but...

Go to 33mins 57secs. It's the Multivan but in the blue and silver. Video before is a review of the red and white one
 
Dealer said he wasn't sure if Gen6 would be available for the California but in the Van its £2.5k!
