Coloured Worktop Protectors - Batch 1 Update.

Materials were ordered yesterday and I have just received a call from the manufacturer to tell me that he has received the material and has spent an hour cutting them this evening, so I should be collecting them tomorrow for you.

I will try and get them packed up tomorrow night and sent out on Thursday.

Hi Andy,

The first batch of various colours were sent out yesterday so no one has them yet, give it a few days and I am sure there will be some photos uploaded here of all the colours that have been ordered.

Any ideas what sort of colour you are thinking of? We still cannot decide for ours, me and my partner Polly have completely different ideas!

our jackyard seat cover are orange and blue so looking at a blue to match

I have six worktop protector kits left from the first production run as a number of members who originally expressed interest have not contacted me. Coloured kits are of course also available as special orders.

Hi Andrew, if I could get Cherry Red or similar, I'd be happy to order! Would need postage to Spain. It's for a T6, not sure if the sizes are the same?

Thanks for the worktop protectors. They are brilliant. I was amazed how easy they were to fit, I was worried whether they could be fitted easily. My 12 year old son fitted them and they look amazing (see photo attached).

I contacted Andrew on Monday. The worktop protection kit was posted on Tuesday and I received them on Wednesday. I installed them today, carefully following the instructions and working meticulously and they are perfect!

An excellent service from Andrew, and an excellent product.

I read that some are choosing to add a splash of colour, but if you go for the standard ones I can confirm that they do not change the appearance of the worktop at all.
 
What happens if you put something warm/hot on it? like a mug of tea?
 
I've had mine for a couple of months now & have put lots of warm plates and cups of tea onto them with no problems at all.
Obviously hot kettles might be different, but they seem very hard wearing and well made.

People may remember that Andrew made a kind offer back on Children in Need night to make a donation of the same amount if someone put in an order. I took him up on it, And, in the spirit of Children in Need, I made a further contribution. He sent the kit out really quickly and I then took AAAggggggeees to fit it with one thing and another.

With Christmas over, I have now installed them. I chose the red to match our cali colour and they were a piece of p to fit, and look amazing! I am so pleased with them, but I annoyingly I managed to snap the one above the fridge when I installed it - perhaps Andrew you need to add another line to the instructions for ninkumpoops like me who were just too hasty in getting the bubbles out around the round fixing on the glass top. I've patched it up with some sellotape. I know that the tear will shorten the life, but I love them so much I hope to get some wear from them!!

Love them Andrew. Great idea, easy to fit, (so long as you aren't club handed), and the red is a great colour match to the van.

Please let me know if you would like a replacement for the fridge, I can get just that one cut free of charge as the manufacturer has some spare cherry red in stock. I would just ask that you pay the postage.

Awesome and easy to fit, only suggestion would be a softer squeegee as plastic is quite hard and scratchy and can mark the darker colours.

Picture of the Lime Green worktop protector attached, all I need now is the van to put them on. Ordered our 204ps Dsg 4Motion on the 16th Dec.and had an unconfirmed build date of week 8 2016. Had an email from the dealer yesterday and this has now slipped to week 12 to 17 and delays are due to component shortages. It's not looking if they allow themselves a 5 week window for an unconfirmed build date. So much for German efficiency.
