Well I must be getting soft in my old age. Steel pressed number plates and holders purchased. Read a lot of posts online about legality of pressed plates. Company is approved by DVLA. Which means they are retroreflective, correct font etc.

Also bought some wind deflectors.

Considering replacing the kitchen unit doors with tambour doors. Thinking is that tambour doors are more practical and will mean I can get at the coffee etc when bed is down.

I had steel pressed number plates on my old van, look so much better than the plastic ones and the van passed several MOT's with them on

They do look nice. The missus thinks I love Corky more than her.

Also bought some Votex alloy wheels off the bay. Apparently they were an upgrade option on Westfalia Californias at the time. It will give me a chance to do something with the steelies as they need a bit of tlc. Thinking of powder coating to the original silver colour.

Be interested to see how you get on with the doors. It's crossed my mind before.

Wind deflectors are useful, helps get some airflow when then weather is bad. We've got the vents that fit in the sliding windows as well for a bit more ventilation when parked up in bad weather.

Yeah, we got the metal vents as well. Haven't used them yet, as I use these magnetic mosquito nets.

I'm going to have to measure up the doors and see if there is a problem with installing the spirals that hold the tambour. Should I replace the doors, will post some pictures.

Great, look forward to seeing how you get on with those.
