We’re expecting delivery of a new Grand California in August so our Ocean is up for sale. It’s a fabulous vehicle but with two kids in tow we’ve decided we need something a bit bigger.

Done just 956 miles (it’s not our daily driver so this is exclusively camping mileage). The van is plugged in for two days weekly to keep the batteries in excellent condition. The engine battery has also been kept in great health through the winter with the help of a CTEK charger.

Fitted with a set of Black Rhino Calico wheels and General Grabber AT3 235/55R17 103H tyres. These are ‘standard’ VW size so are supported in the vehicle’s Direct TPMS system. The tyres have just 200 miles on them and are 3-peak rated so can be used in Europe during the winter, they’re also great for a bit of extra traction in muddy fields. The Woodstock 17” wheels with Bridgestone Duravis 215/60R17 tyres are also included in the price, then you have the choice of which wheel and tyre combo to run depending on season etc.

A NOTE ON THE BELLOWS

Any well-researched potential buyer will likely know that the latest, double-skinned iteration of VW bellows are prone to leaking along the front seams in wind and rain. I had my original set replaced in November 2023 and I can honestly say the new set haven’t leaked in all of my real world and driveway testing. I can also confirm that I haven't treated them with any waterproofing agents and the dealer assures me they haven’t either.
