Nice van i see there’s a t5 version at Inverness for sale but doesn’t have the drop down bed. Have always liked them wingamm

Have you stayed up at the Ciste car park (motorhome park) wonderful sunsets from there. And beautiful hikes.

Yes in the past - the views are amazing but it closed on the 3rd November and only reopens May 2026.

I noticed that you have external windscreen covers which look great on your van. We are currently researching them. I have some questions so apologies for them:
Are they thermal?
Can you open the doors without having to unfastening them?
How pleased are you with them especially as you are in the Pyrenees?, and
Where did you get them from

The covers are double layered so pseud-thermal.

The doors need to be slightly opened to take off part of the cover to fully open the door. The cover remains Velcroed around the wing mirror. Not too much faff.

Delighted with the cover. So quick and easy to deploy. Can be stowed with the tailgate chairs when wet from dew. Can also leave front windows partially or fully open for nighttime ventilation when deployed.

Bought second-had from someone on this forum. I think they were made by the club shop.

Alicante airport multistory carpark is no problem for a California. The bridge between the car park and the airport is on the 4th floor. I usually park on the 5th the top floor. Paying machine are easy to spot. The barriers read number plates.

This was really useful information. Thanks. We parked at the top as you advised. Our parking ticket became de-magnetised as I stored it with my phone - doh - so we had to find the pay counter in the VIP parking area on the floor below.

Thank you and i like your idea of using the tailgate as additional storage area

Looks amazing…long drive though

I spent almost 5 weeks on the trip, Calais - Le Mans - La Rochelle - Blanes - Alicante - Cartagena. Was brilliant

Blog on the trip: Van
Just had a read. Nice blog and some amazing photos. Laughed aloud at the 'friendly ladies'!

Our first night away and happened to be the wife's birthday. Went to Deers Glade in Norfolk, lovely site btw.

Bit chilly, but sat with friends with food and a fire for a couple of nights, walk to the Cricketer's on the Green and a coffee at Blazing Paddles the next day.

Love Belgium! And Gent was beautiful (but wet). You’re right, it does make it feel like home!
It’s our 3rd trip there in the camper so far. You’re very lucky living there.

Thx.
Next time when you come over I will give some locations for good local brewerys.

Just let me know what kind you prefer or like.

All good with the standard Beach heating?
Yeah 100%. Only my Son and I. Him upstairs me downstairs. Toasty. We even had the driver window cracked open with the plastic vents that come with the van. No condensation. Brilliant. It wasn’t -c but got down to 2c over night. So far, can’t fault it
