Review of California Ocean by Chris Evans

Don't get me wrong I like CE The misses and I have meet him a few times at car fest and each time he came over to chat with us for about 5 mins or so when we had our converted T5, but that review seemed more a dig at everything and everyone else rather than actually really reviewing the T6.

Never mind like he said everyone is different, I for one love mine and wouldn't change it for anything (right now that it )

Kids eh .... what do they know;)
Wait till they are old enough to drive .....Then they will opt for the T6 (Which by then will be a classic!):)

I doubt you will see many T6 California's driving around in 35-40 years time. I have owned two T2s over the years and they were an absolute headache. Constantly repairing one thing or another, at least it was a fairly cheap exercise too repair
Yet these are very simple machines compared to a T5/6. Some of the vehicles being ordered today are far to expensive and complex to keep running. Doubt many will get past 15 years.

I've always said, the key to a good campervan is simplicity.

So I now look and the for the second time this now has 597 views and 3 comments.
@Martin you posted this without a reflection from yourself ...
I would normally expect the poster to be posing a question to see what reaction it gets. It doesn't need to be provocative as we see on other posts.
On this one - I did read the post, I didn't find it particularly biased one way or the other. However, I would be interested in others views, which I think was the original intent. So I'll add mine.
Reasonable review, not enough detail.

Chris Evans is trying to be like Clarkson in his reviews but he has failed miserably, just like he did on Top Gear. Can't wait for the grand tour.

I did not see it as a review. It was more like a few comments by someone who starts off with a few paragraphs of total irrelevancy followed by few paragraphs that would add nothing to anyone's appreciation of what a Camper is and why the Cali is at the top of the pile.

I was particularly amused to read that amongst the avant-garde novelties introduced with the T6 was an electric roof.

Oh well, how to look an overpaid idiot in two sentences :shocked

I'm in the not really interested in his opinion camp. At the risk of giving some on here a complimentand it going to their head, I am far more interested in views by people on here who use them. Not some "Celebrity" but then again I do have issues with the whole cult of celebrities. I'll shut up now!

If Evans had asked his kids if they wanted to go to Paris on intercity, would he have opted to take them on Thomas the tank engine instead? Probably.

I bought my California from Chris Evans! He works in the VW dealer in Liverpool. Very knowledgeable guy!

He could probably afford to do that!
