My first experience of wild camping - although I parked for several hours at the first spot I was advised I 'might get disturbed' (unspecified) so I moved to the second location nearby when it started getting dark.

Two freinds enjoying a Kitesurf weekend in island Læsø in the northern of Denmark. Autumn is finally knocking on the door. Still not too cold but really heavy winds (gusts above 36 knots)

I am more affected bij traveling than ever. The Cali is a life-changing machine.
As self employed graphic designer it takes quite some effort to get back to my daily routines.

Here is why:

Hi Deskman,

where did you buy that beautiful California model that features in some of your pictures?

Herrie

Hi Herrie,

I bought it via e-bay from a collector in Alphen a/d Rijn. It's hard to find one since the factory doesn't make them anymore. If you find a shop online most of them say 'sold out' or 'on order' (which can not be true). I have searched for some weeks and at last ordered this one since it was the only one available.

So this Calimero a second hand - like my real Cali.

You have to look for a Minichamps VW Volkswagen T5 California. Lots of images, no one for sale.
It's extremely detailed for a model so well worth the search. :D

Nice one - but that's a 5.2, isn't it?

And was that ever an official VW-fanshop-item?

It's a T5.1 California mini champs bought from a uk VW dealer

A visit to Mölle and Kullens lighthouse, one of the oldest in sweden overlooking Denmark. Found a nice place to stay legally using the park4night app.
The place where full, with 4 motorhomes and a california, then in the middle of a dinner in all its simplicity a couple shows up with a Skoda and a caravan. I thought to myself, the place is full so he is going away, but he decides to stay. They parked their caravan so they can overlook our dinner preparations.
Well, miss Kave wasnt excited. The sky was really fantastic with a small rainbow, or is it a meteor?

A dinner in all it's simplicity:

To the kids yet another visitor doesnt mind at all, who cares?
After a glass of white wine the missus doesnt mind either:

In the middle of the dinner the sky decides that the cali needs some wash off, so we immediately moves the table and everything inside.

A view of the town Mölle:

The town Arild. The whole area actually looks a bit british with mostly stown houses

Great photos and love how good the Indium Grey looks on a gloomy day. That's reassuring to us Brits when most days look a bit like that!

20161002_080409.jpg Woke up to this scene near Torridon this morning at 7 30. Was a chilly night as can be seen from the dew on the outside of the Cali windows. Had to scrape ice from the windscreen but after using the heater for about 15 mins the inside was toasty warm for having breakfast prior to a walk in the wilderness to Loch Coire Mhic Fhearchair.
