Don't be daft, it was obviously an early T4 with 78hp!

post deleted.

I will let someone else put that assertion together :sad

I'd just remind members, you do not have to say anything unless you wish to do so, but anything you do say.....

I want to die peacefully in my sleep like my Grandad................Not screaming in terror like his passengers!

1990....I was caught there speeding faster than that but they did not bother to breatherlise me as my driving was fine...silly thing to do though and I regret it.

Not me today as the Cali and me have been at Estoril seeing other fast drivers in final round of ELMS...

If he was tailgating at 112mph - does that mean the car in front was doing 112 as well?

The car in front was probably the police car :shocked

next spotted on Sales section

Got to get the message through to the younger generation somehow...
Agreed and I like to think I'm down wiv da kids but I don't know many yoofs what follows plod on twitta init.

Is it really correct behaviour for a policeman to announce to the world who he's just arrested?

I see what you mean and I think the tone of that tweet seems a bit too celebratory to be professional (particularly the hashtag) but I would argue that greater communication of police action acts as an increased deterrent to potential offenders.

So confidentiality goes out of the window.
Supposing you'd just driven past and you recognised the person in question.
Are you entitled to know he's about to be disqualified??

Are policemen really entitled/encouraged to broadcast this kind of thing?

Something doesn't sit right with me, would a Cali owner really be ploughing down the A30 at 112mph. The speedo must have been reading at least 120 to get booked at that speed.

I'd like to think our boys in blue are above pathetic social media.. obviously not.

I think their use of social media is good - it's a reminder of what they are doing; it's a deterrent to some who need deterring and overall it just makes the Police seem more real and part of the Community. It's basically free crime prevention using the deterrent effect and vital as local rags seem to be dying slowly.

I do cringe at some publicity - imagine publicity but turning out to be wrongful arrest. But generally I think it's a good thing & Police use it a lot in my area.

I do not think that criminals have a general right to confidentiality or anonymity. They do have that right until conviction

I hope so. I just wish I knew where all the drivers were who put my children's lives at risk and I knew who they were.
