One side panel or two...????

I've decided after much thought that I shall keep my factory ordered Awning. I was considering removing it as I did have some concerns about it looking like a camper all the time (purely from a security point of view).

However, its such a versatile bit of kit I think this outweighs anything else.

So, I'm now looking at the Brandrup side panels. I'm definitely looking at getting one, but will I need or benefit from having two? Privacy is obviously an advantage, as well as some protection from the elements, but I don't want to feel hemmed in either...

Thoughts or advice anyone?

I have one side and a front that way I can change ends with the view

If you or your other half is handy with a sewing machine you could run up a full set for a very small outlay and use the funds you've freed up for something else.

We bought us one of these from Thule to get some more shade and keep the air vent running in summer:

Pros:
Looks great and light
Cons:
Not waterproof

Thanks for the speedy replies!

I wasn't aware that Thule made side panels, thats interesting, although not being waterproof might be a deal breaker. And yes, I can drive a sewing machine so thats always an option!

And Calikev, good idea about having a front panel and switching the side ones about, now its even more confusing.....

!!

IMO the rain breaker doesn't look so nice in comparison with the brandrup one...

We have the Comfortz awning and use whichever bit suits at the time. One end, two ends, just the front or the whole lot.

Yes, I looked at the Comfortz ones, they are great but a bit too dark for my liking. The Brandrup ones tick all the boxes for me but they aren't cheap! Although the Thule ones aren't far behind.

I'm wrestling with the 'buy once, buy right' argument in my head at the moment....

You can get the Comfortz in lighter colours as well, same light grey as the Brandrup ones.

In France last summer we found the awning was very handy for providing shade but it didn't provide enough so I have been thinking of buying a side plus an end they will also give us more privacy. We also found the awning was good at keeping pine needles and bird droppings of our dining table etc when camping under pine trees.
