Yay! We got tickets :bananadance

Is anyone else here going?

Yup, luck held out again! Just hope it kicks in again when CV ticket time comes round.

We'll be there, 5th time in the Cali.
We will be taking our Cali too. Need to decide on an awning now. Do you know if there are limits on awning sizes? Can't seem to find much info, only that you can pitch a tent behind your unit.

a. There is similar, only slightly less stressful bun fight you'll need to endure to get a CV ticket in a few weeks time, before you can be sure you'll be taking the Cali.

b. There is a nominal pitch size. Can't remember if it something like 6m x 8m that you're supposed to fit into but they aren't marked pitches so it's all down to you just telling the marshall how much space you're going to need.

Campervan tickets on sale now. Just got ours. :bananadance2

Looks like they have sold out already! 20 mins.

Woo hoo! Mate has just returned the favour of me getting his entry ticket - he's got my cv ticket.
West for us again.

port Eliot festival....if you haven't been it's a joy. Tickets went on sale on Tuesday for next year, and the EHU camping area tends to get booked. It's a literary, foods, drinky, middle classy affair...when it gets lively drunken hoards throw balsamic vinegar and copies of Tatler at each other. Great fun, and would highly recommend it.

We got tickets (fourth year running) and today managed to get tents up at Worthy View.
To be honest, I am still a bit precious over our van and prefer to go off-roading in something designed for the job! Found this video of the West CV field from 2016, hope it doesn't put anyone off. Spot the Cali!!

So jealous of those of you who managed to get tickets. Failed miserably despite our best efforts but got lucky in the resale last year so fingers crossed for this year. Sadly does mean camper van fields probably won't be an option as never many resold.

Campervan situation did seem like a mess last year but I've been going to Glasto for a long time and of late they really do seem to learn from their mistakes/problems and invest in improvements year-on-year (2007 made them step up!). I can't see it being a problem again this year.

We got tickets. Getting a CV ticket was a stress. It's getting harder every year. Looking forward to seeing Radiohead. I'm a massive fan. Managed to get standing tickets to see them in Manchester too.

This year the festival was amazing even with all the mud. We had Tim Booth from James crowd surf on us.

We took the new T6 this year and loved the festival even more. The haven from the madness was appreciated as was the Comfortz Awning to give us extra space.

Who is everyone else hoping for on any of the stages?

Anyone going to Carfest?
Going on the Saturday (North) only, I managed to initially secure a weekend quiet camping ticket but couldn't secure a campervan/caravan permit . Not much point camping without the California so gave up the weekend camping ticket up and settled for the Saturday only. If it's half as good as two years ago was we'll enjoy ourselves all the same. Are you going to any?

Dropped on lucky this year. Somehow we managed to get weekend camping and a campervan pass for the North. Same happened to us a couple of years ago - weekend camping but no cv pass - so ended up in a tent with the Cali parked about 200m away in the car park!

Like you, also a huge Radiohead fan, and chuffed to have tickets for Manchester on the Tuesday night :)

Was a little envious of the Glastonbury attendees when I heard it announced they'll be headlining there next year, but I'll settle for MCR.

Still not tackled Glastonbury in our Cali yet. We're already booked next year for GreenMan (will be our third year in the Cali). Can highly recommend for those who've not been and unable to get Glastonbury tickets.

We've also booked to return to BlueDot. Had a fantastic time there last year. Highly recommended to anyone who loves Electronic music and Science!

I was wondering if you might see Kraftwerk next year. We were lucky to get tickets to go see them at the Albert Hall and wondered if they may make a Glastonbury appearance given they'll be touring the UK around that time. If so, I'd say they were mandatory to catch.

@LowMan I'm hoping Kraftwerk will be at Glasto. They are a strong rumour. A friend of mine went to Blue Dot and really enjoyed it this year. I have the time (&energy) for 1 festival a year. 2018 is the fallow year for Glasto so Im going to try another festival. Enjoy Radiohead at Manchester. It will be awesome as they will playing only to fans. Glasto they'll play more 'hits' which will be good...but could be a fragmented set. I'd be happy to hear AMSP in full!!

@Aidy P Thanks. I think I've lost count of the times I've seen Radiohead live, but it never stops my anticipation for the next live encounter. Enjoy Glasto 2017 and any other music/art related event you get the chance to experience next year!

Van is cleaned and packed ready for Tuesday. We'll be in East Family Camping so if you see the van, come and say hello. Have a good one!!

We are in East Campervan area. But have sold the Cali, so will be taking a caravan instead. Looks like the weather will be just about perfect. :bananadance2

So you'll have a proper loo eh @rich-s ? Lucky man !! Have a good one :):):)

We'll be prepping the cali for its first glastonbury tonight. Been a couple of times in the old t2, so couldn't do it camping. West is best.

Luckily we've had decent weather everytime and this year looks no different.

Anyone know which supermarkets have good deals on cans of alcohol?

@Aidy P @rich-s @OrangeColin - Enjoy Glastonbury this year. Line up looks great. Hope they'll be featuring the DJ Shadow & Run The Jewels sets on TV. We'll be thinking of you. Slight envy over the Radiohead headline spot, but not too much as we'll be catching them in MCR at the start of next month :)

Have a great time!

We have arrived. No queue to get to camper area. Just chilling with some beers and then heading in later. Seems odd without the Cali, but we got to bring loads of booze And we have a freezer in the caravan so will be very refined with ice for our g&t's.
