The life of a Cali is not all scenery and glamour. This is the other side and shows how useful they are!

A fellow camper next to us, too. :D

Next time you are up that way try Hard Knott Pass - spectacular!! Take a look at this link to help you decide :thumb:thumb http://www.visitcumbria.com/wc/hardknott-pass/

If you're really hard you can try this, not recommended in hindsight. Posted this before but we followed our friends in their Bongo last year. Very scary coming down. Bono is on Goodyear M & S Vectors. Cali on Vredenstein Wintracs, very solid.

Looked like the Bongo was having issues with sliding about 12:40 in. Were you having the same sliding? Cannot tell from in car.

You're a lot braver than I! I will stick to good weather drives up Hard Knott and Wrynose so I can enjoy the drive and the views. A lot less scary (and risky)!

Yes the Bongo did slide a bit whereas the Cal didn't at all. Even restarted on a slope after we stopped to give the Bongo more space. It highlights the difference between M & S tyres and full winters as the Bongo is mid engined so weight distribution is better than the Cali. In theory should be better in bad conditions but perhaps the extra weight of the Cali helps, until it slides then it will work against it.
Don't try this, we wouldn't if we had known how bad it was. Both received severe b*********s from respective ladies.:Nailbiting

Mr B drove down Hardnott Pass many years ago in the summer in our car and I was a scared passenger then - can't imagine coming down in the snow. I reckon next time we're that way, we'll walk so I can enjoy the view!

After a day in Varberg I decided it was time for coffee so time for a brew in the middle of the city.
I am going to build something better to store pots and pans etc but the plastic box have to do for a while.

Great setup. Loving the proper coffee pot.
