I have just bought a set of side chrome trims from Lookers off Ebay, they were listed as genuine VW parts.
Whilst they look fine they seem a bit deep at 5.1 cms, could anyone who has these trims as part of the chrome pack please confirm the dimensions before I fit them.

Mine are 3.5cms factory fit and part of chrome pack.

The ones I bought from Just Kampers are 5.1cm wide. Made from polished stainless steel where as (I think) the OEM VW ones are chromed plastic and over £300 for a set when I enquired at my dealer.
JK ones did need the use of a file to get to fit to my satisfaction so suspect they are the same as the eBay ones you have. Just a bit cheaper! ( http://www.justkampers.com/vw-t5-an...r-trim-kit-t5-2003-2015-short-wheel-base.html )

Owen, I suspected the "Genuine New Vw T6 Transporter SWB Side Streamer..."
I ordered were not genuine when I saw they were made of stainless steel, amazing that they are supplied by Lookers VW in Preston in a tube with a VW pick number.
 
This is what the wide ones look like on my Cali:

The eBay listing is a bit confusing as says SWB van only and the photo is a LWB. If they are the same as the JK ones then they only fit a van with a right hand sliding door (like the Cali). The bend / kink in the metal is not symmetrical so there is a top and bottom.

These are not the style/type that VW fit when the chrome pack is ordered with a new cali. They are an acrylic chrome effect styled type, these Lookers ebay products are manufactured from stainless steel and are deeper. Some on here have fitted them even though they did require some adjustment.

I ordered a set of these they looked really cheap quality so returned them. They are considerably cheaper than the chrome pack option ones from main dealer they come out at about £600.00 set.

Set of the factory fit ones like T6 CFO has is £600 according to two VW dealers I contacted, not available as a set you have to buy each trim.

Unfortunately these are the same stainless steel trims that are completely different from the chrome pack trims supplied on a factory order, how the supplier can headline "polished chrome" when they have never been near a chrome bath is astonishing.
 
OK not seen them yet but will have a look before fitting and return them if not suitable. It does clearly STATE "Polished Chrome" and were ordered via VW Main Dealer. Every Factory order part is available via VW Parts they have to be as original supplied parts obviously get damaged...
 
Is it possible the VW Parts part is different to a COPY being sold on eBAy?
