Returned from a short drive tonight to find that the middle sliding seat rail was roasting hot. Almost too hot to touch but not quite.
Our puppy was in its crate in this area so was particularly displeased.

Has anyone else experienced this?

It's clearly directly above the exhaust.

Welcome on your first post .

Are you sure the rear heating was OFF?
Would find it very very strange heat from the exhaust would come thru the floor.

Just recent some others found out heat coming from the rear , not aware the heating was on .
Not the aux.heater (could be that also but assume you ruled that out?)but the ventilation to the above right while sitting in the bench seat.

Yes definitely not normal AC heat or aux heat but the floor was egg cooking levels of heat!

Yes it is normal on t5 T6. Floor in the middle (front) is HOT. When you under the car you will see the reason. Exhaust and DPF filter.

I have never noticed it on mine.

Thought I was back on the Panigale forum there for a minute!!;)

Cheers all.

I haven't witnessed it today after numerous checks. I'm beginning to think the problem was idling over a hard standing pitch whilst trying to sort out drive away awning for the first time - although I've never experienced it before.

There is quit an airflow underneath when driving but not so when idling, so the exhaust heat will rise . The Central slider is bolted through the floor pan so will get heated as it is conductive. The plastic flooring has insulating properties so will not heat up so much.
