Front passenger door double double locked

I have a related question to this. When we are out of the van but have left the keys inside is there a chance the van will lock itself? I know that it should only re-lock if it has been unlocked and no doors have opened within a time period but we are paranoid about it getting locked with us in the awning.

Page 36 of the multivan manual - paraphrased

Note: If the VW dealer has programmed the single door unlocking function, all the doors and the boot lid will be unlocked only after you press the [unlock] button twice or turn the mechanical [sic] vehicle key twice.

The default unlock is that a single press of the unlock button unlocks all doors. I cannot explain why my dealer chose to programme the unlocking of my vehicle differently.

Another locking feature that some might have missed is that a long lock press will close all electrically operated windows.

Also does the reverse on mine. Hold the Unlock button for a few seconds and the doors unlock and front windows Open.

Bizarrely, mine does the same, leading to the ridiculous situation where, after a single long click, the front passenger door has its window lowered, but the door remains locked with the deadlock released.
