Can anyone give me some advice about cleaning the seats?
I got a small stain on the back seat, probably just a morsel of food or something. I rubbed it gently with some soapy water which didn't actually get the stain out completely. However there is now a faint water mark around the faint stain which looks as if someone has had an unfortunate accident on the back seat. It's not very obvious but I'm so proud still of my almost new Cali I'd be very grateful for some advice.
Many thanks

Autoglym Interior Shampoo/Cleaner.

You have to soak the seats with water + cleaning product, then use a vacuum cleaner that handles water, don't know the English word for it. You could probably rent it somewhere.

+1 for Autoglym Interior Shampoo/Cleaner. Also really good for the carpet - comes up like new.

Also agree on that Autoglym. Once the wet patch fades it's as good as new!

+1 Autoglym Interior Shampoo/Cleaner (not the foam one, the other one)

I've just spent a month driving around France and have done a lot of cooking in the van. It its so easy to spill onto the rear seats and I'm not the tidiest of people. At first I tried cleaning just the affected areas but this always left water marks. Eventually I bit the bullet and, after cleaning the dirty bits, used fresh water and a new cloth to make sure all the seat was damp and hoped for the best. Eureka, the finish was like new so, relieved and impressed at the same time. Since then whenever I have cleaned I have made sure to do the whole panel. I felt sure that after a time I was going to have to either get covers or replace with leather. Now I am sure that there is no need to.

We have the Alcantara interior - as it left the factory - no aftermarket treatment. It is incredibly stain resistant - even the suede effect parts. I spilt coffee on the back seat when it was two weeks old. It came out with no trace left. Well worth the upgrade cost.

Please can someone remind me of the name of the spray that cleans marks on the Cali seats. I purchased one a few months ago and have lost it and cannot remember the name. Thank you.

Karcher pressure washer. Best to take the seats out of the van first :Grin

I sprayed mine with Scotchgard before I fitted my seat covers, it turns anything you spill on it to small droplets.

Agree with Pazoozalator's experience. Spent four weeks in France and somehow got a grease spot on the front seat. I used Autoglym interior shampoo the first time, just on the patch, rinsing with tap water, but it left a water mark. I then tried it again with de-ionised water, but it still left a water mark. Third time I did the whole seat, making sure I really worked on the grease spot ( The first & second time I didn't work the shampoo in well enough, but I was more brutal on the third occasion), rinsing with warm tap water and dabbing dry with kitchen towel then drying with a new microfibre cloth. Hey presto, once it had dried, no water mark, no grease spot and the seat looks as good as new. Phew!

Has anyone tried a Vaparetto type steam cleaner? Wondered if the seats would cope with the heat.

Yes, don’t just do the spot/mark but the whole panel.
