Devastated that our companion for 8 years has bone cancer - she's in today for a biopsy to see if its the aggressive (90% likely) or localised version and therefore what we could do. Not great as it is in her hip so pretty brutal.

Very sad to hear , my toughts are with you and fingers x-sed she won't suffer to much....
Gonne go strait to mine when i get home and give her a extra cudlle ...can't bear the thought ever losing my girl , she turns 11 in two weeks hope she gets another few years..
We had some knobs removed and checked in the lab a few years ago ....it was just fat knobs , but she has got plenty of them ...cancer we all get and dogs also...

So sorry to hear this - I lost my old boy a year ago and it still hurts so much.
Keeping everything crossed that there is something they can do.

My heart goes out to you I am sure you will do all you can for your friend
Thanks; VERY conscious that it is for HER and not for US. If it is the bad one, amputation, pelvis rebuild, chemo would only give her another year before spreading further and a brutal 3 month recovery, which we consider selfish. If it is localised then the same process could give her another 3-4 years which is more normal lifespan, greyhounds do well on 3 legs met several, hence the biopsy.

So sorry to hear that. However long she has to go, it's the number of walkies, hugs and treats that matters, not the number of years/months.

So sorry to hear your news. Anniversary this week of one our spaniels and hurts just as much .
Everything crossed here for you all x

Oh what sad news, so sorry. I'm sure that if she crosses the rainbow bridge it will be with tail wagging, knowing how loved she is and free of pain, sadly though I suspect your pain may be with you for some time. So heartbreaking when our loved ones leave us. Please share with us if you feel able to.

Jen xx

I'm so so sorry. I've lost 2 of my girls in the last year and life hasn't been the same BUT I now have a 12 week old puppy and life is very hetic and happy. Best wishes to you !

I'm very sad reading that... I whish you the best

I really feel for you! Hope you get the best possible outcome.

Lost both of my babies this year. Hope all is OK. Really hope all turns out well. Fingers and everything else crossed.

Recovering from Biopsy last week, found a new "normal" and getting a routine now, biopsy result should be with us before the end of the week. She's on half the pain meds she could go to and coping well so far.

Take good care of her...fingers Xssed

Well biopsy back and it was as we feared not as we hoped, so its all about managing the pain, she's still super bright though so a few good months yet

Ah I am so sorry. Good that she is coping with the pain and enjoying life though and you can make the very most of the time you have left.
My old boy never got to have a trip in the cali which makes me sad. He would have loved it.

Oh so sorry :(

If the pain can be managed, a few precious months and a dignified farewell, never easy when our friends time to cross the rainbow bridge is near. All my love to her and you

She's usually ready for a ride but no more journeys - vet says too risky and its not the level of comfort she needs for a disintergrating hip

So sorry to hear this - we all know that we're taking on the sadness of losing them when we take on a dear little puppy or kitten, or a new friend from a rescue centre - but it doesn't make it any easier when it happens. Hope you have some great times together before she goes.

Very sad to say that we had to put Poppy to sleep yesterday. We couldn't do any more for her, we'd like to think that is true for her whole life, not just these last 5 months.
