Update: 3x Split worktop protectors ready to go!

I took a call first thing this morning from the manufacturer informing me that the triple kits are being cut today and will be ready for collection on Friday.

All those that have been reserved by both Cali owners in the UK and in Europe will be packed on Friday night and sent out on Saturday morning, so you should start receiving your kits towards the middle of next week.

Start cleaning the glass in preparation and watch the fitting video ready for their arrival!

Really simple, the protectors just need to be sprayed with a soapy solution and you cannot go wrong. Air bubbles are very easy to remove as they disappear as you squeeze the water out from below.

Give me a couple of weeks and I'll answer that positively once SWMBO regains consciousness over what we have just spent. But the answer will be yes...soon. Which I guess is a yes please!!!

Update: First 3x split worktop protector kits sent 10th October'17!

Triple protectors were collected on Sunday and packed this evening, we will be taking all the frosted kits to the post office in the morning, so you should start receiving them in the next few days via Royal Mail.

Double and triple coloured orders will hopefully be ready for collection later this week or on the weekend so watch this space for an update.

Update: Second batch of 3x split worktop protector kits and coloured special orders packed and will be sent on 20th October'17.

A new batch of triple protectors were collected today along with many of the special coloured orders. These have been packed this evening and sent out in the morning. You should start receiving them in the next few days via Royal Mail.

A couple of the colours ordered have not arrived due to being unavailable at the moment. The manufacturer will be getting the material early next week so apologies to Paul Williams (light blue gloss) and Jason Wallace (grey).

I fitted the frosted kit last Friday. It was very easy. Unravelled them and straightened them under some dinner mats for a few hours and used a soapy solution and squeegee. Couldn’t be simpler and they look great. You’d hardly know they were there.
 
Update: Delayed Coloured kits

There has been a delay with the latest atch of couloured kits due to the manufactures worklad, however, I took a call from him today informing me they should be ready for collection on Thursday afternoon, so will get them posted out on Saturday morning (11 Nov'17)

I fitted my frosted ones on Saturday.
Extremely easy and very pro finish. No-one would know they are there.

The glass work tops are easily scratched, and are very expensive to replace.

These frosted glass finished protective covers as fitted to our California kitchen have been computer cut to the exact size of both burner / sink and the fridge glass work tops and can be applied in minutes using the supplied 3M squeege and a misting of soapy water solution using an old household spray bottle.

Holes are pre cut in both of the protective covers to accommodate the circular gas strut fixing on both work tops and act as a guide when fitting. The soapy solution enables you to move the protector around until it is in the correct position before squeeging the solution to the edges to leave it stuck in place (See YouTube video below):


The covers are also really easy to remove should you wish to replace them with a new set in the future or have a change of colour, rather like a mobile phone screen protector.

Update 18 Jan 2018:

Apologies to those of you who have been waiting for the gunmetal grey worktop protectors, the supplier called me today to say they are ready for collection. I will be collecting them tomorrow and sending them out on Saturday morning via Royal Mail along with a few frosted kits that members have ordered recently.

We will also be collecting another batch of both the frosted T5 twin kits and the latest triple kits for the T6.

Note, I do not have the glass protector yet but considering a purchase. Before doing so I would like to ask a question. Whilst travelling at the weekend I was sitting on the bench. Due to the angle of the sun, the rays came through the window, hit the glass worktop and refracted into the eyes of those on the backseat. I would like to reduce this somewhat and would like to know if the protector does this. So a dual purpose, firstly anti scratch and secondly anti glare/sun absorption. Thanks.
 
The frosted kits are more of a matt finish than the exposed shiny glass surfaces, so these should cut down on glare.

1 May'18 Update:

Apologies to those members who have been waiting for their protector kits, we collected a new batch of both the original twin kits and the new triple kits on Sunday from the manufacturer. All those who reserved a kit should receive them within the next couple of days as they were taken to the post office yesterday afternoon.

We now have both kits in stock and ready to send out should anyone else wish to place an order.
