Having made an annual trip to Scotland in November, the first time in our California, I thought it would be good to see some recent pictures of our home from homes with a Wintery backdrop.

Here is our Van Vader having a brief stop after crossing Glenshee in the Cairngorms National Park.

Where have you been ?

Glencoe yesterday, topper very useful as we had lots of snow. Winter tyres essential.

:thanks

Looks like there is a Municipal next door and a Campingplatz in town as well so parking should not be an issue even in summer.

Do you drive to the lifts in the Cali?

I was up at my regular camping spot in Minffordd in early December and the weather forecast was for rain all evening, turning to snow in the early hours which would continue all day.
I have heard that type of forecast many times and usually it comes to nothing. I woke up at 2.00am and looked out of the window and it was white outside.
I had planned to leave in daylight, but I was concerned about being stuck there so I threw the last of my things into the Cali and left at 3.00am.
I met the thick snow about an hour into my journey.

This was the picture from my dash cam. I had to have the headlights dipped or else I was just looking into a white blanket of snow. I only had a few gritters for company and one other car heading the other way.
Very thankful for the M&S tyres and grateful to pass through the snow front around Builth Wells from where it just rained the rest of the way to Bristol.
Later in the day the areas I had been through were jammed up with cars and lorries stuck in the snow.
