Please can anyone advise on how to clean the pipes to the gas hob burners as we fear that an over enthusiastic clean with lots of cleaning agent has drastically impaired the performance of the gas burners, so that one is as if on a very low setting and the other not that much better. We understood that to potentially replace the pipes, the whole unit needs to be dismantled. Would be very keen to hear of any recommendation as to who could do this work. We are based on the south coast but willing to travel.
Thanks.

Easy enough to dismantle the jets etc: to clean properly.

Might be worth trying a different regulator before dismantling cooker.

I had this in the summer, turn out that I'd caught the red isolation handle in cupboard under the hob, partially closing it

Does anyone know the make of the hob ?

We did the best we could dismantling and cleaning but fear the detergent went all the way down and has caused a blockage.
Also if it is cold where you are then the pressure produced will be reduced because of the vaporisation point of Butane especially if you have a cylinder only partially full.

Remove the jets, for this you will need a socket set and a 7mm socket. Once removed put the jets in a pan of water and bring to the boil for a few minutes. DO NOT POKE ANYTHING INTO THE JET. Once out of the pan put them back in the hob and turn on the gas, any debris in the jet should be removed in the boiling water or pushed out once softened when you turn the gas on.
