Hi there - just wondering if anyone has found a way of covering/enclosing the downstairs mattress for the Beach when it’s in storage mode on the rear shelf? I’d like to protect it in some way as well as kind of hold it together. Long shot but thought I’d ask!

Forum sponsor Comfortz make such covers for the SE/Ocean but not the Beach, but If you contact them they might have something in the pipeline.

We put the multiflex pad, reversed, on top of the mattress, the pad flap will protect the front or back of the mattress stack, and the main pad the top.

Hi Amarillo, I’m very new to this and can see you have some experience. My 2 seat beach has a fold out ‘pad’ which I’m calling the mattress, are you suggesting another mattress on top of this?

I have the three seat bench. The bed is made from the bench seat and multiflex with a thin pad. The multiflex can be wide for the medium bed or narrow for the short or long bed (the long bed being made with seats 6 and 7). For this reason the multiflex pad has a fold so it too can be either wide or narrow.

The mattress goes on top of the seat and multiflex pad.

Hello Steve,
We have a seven seat Beach with the VW Comfort mattress. I don't know if I'm speaking out of turn but Nick at Comfortz kindly made me a very nice water proof cover that allows for it to be folded up on the rear multiflex board when not in use. Due to the complexity of the mattress he cleverly made it in two parts so that it can easily be joined using the wide velcro strips when folded out for use. It was the first one he had made and I believe it enabled him to make up the patterns for future use. I don't know if he went on to produce them for the club shop. I suspect he is too busy these days. Might be worth giving the shop a call.

The two parts should be joined together when is use using the further velcro strip in this photo and not as shown.

I can't speak highly enough of Nick and his team.

P.s You don't need to used the fiddly zips to join the two sections together either. The velcro does that perfectly.
