They buy any Cali dot com - Cali-gone!

Blimey! Spate of enquiries could be affecting the value?

Law of supply and demand. Too many enquiries with WBAC for what has a limited market must have an effect on their valuations.

SOLD
I will take it off you for that price ;)

2017 Beach; 25,000 miles.

I daren't do mine as the Southampton Branch is next door to my office.

Sold my Fiat 500 to them. Very easy. Friendly bunch of "guys".

Maybe they've been following my blog and worked out that it has been lived in for 9 of its 12 months' life.

It is a well spec'ed Beach:
Parking heater
ACC
Climatronic
LED lights
Discover media
And much more.

Maybe your right!

Mine hasn't got LED LIGHTS, no parking heater, a year older and is still valued over 3 grand more! very strange!

Strange!

I just thought I'd check mine again to see if it's really dropped but was shocked to see this:Screenshot_20180319-190454.png

So this time I've booked an appointment for Saturday. Will be interesting to see what they offer me!

I wonder where these vans go to be sold, as I can’t imagine VW take them and having studied AutoTrader for the last 12 months there aren’t that many outlets...

WBAC is owned by BCA. So they go off to auction. Traders buy them.

Yours Motacyclist's Cali is going to Manchester on the 21st (assuming that your were CX64 ZXU with 17,896miles)

Thanks, that's interesting; where did you see that info?

Searched BCA for make & model? I use wbac to value when selling, knowing it should be less than auction...then use autotrader for more retail, then adjust for a private sale.

Only 2 or there at the moment. The other is a Ferrari

I went to BCA site but it wanted me to register, so couldn’t be bothered.

I’m not sure I want to find out how much it goes for. Or maybe I do. Or maybe I don’t ....

Very sad day, last glimpse of our Cali outside Webuyanycar.com.

Why did we sell it to them? Because £1500 more than the dealer’s p/x offer. In fact, we got more than some similar Cali’s are being advertised for on here. I couldn’t believe it!

Beware though, they go over it very thoroughly and knock money off for the tiniest thing. A slight chip on the driver’s door and a couple of almost invisible stone chips on the bonnet and bumper reduced the value by £450, otherwise we would have been £1950 better off. (Classed as 3 smart repairs).

Hopefully it will be new Cali-come on Friday :)

EDIT: I missed see pjm-84's post, so i've repeated what he's already said

WBAC are owned by British Car Auctions IIRC. If the reg ends in ZXU it's up for Auction at Manchester BCA tomorrow.

I've just sent a Skoda lease car back at the end of it's contract and a BCA 'Inspector' came around and went over it with a fine tooth comb. Cost me £273+VAT for a few dings, excessive chipping on a door handle and a couple of excessively kerbed wheels. Not too bad really.

Seems a strange pricing system, no mention of extras (alloys, sat nav, heaters, climate etc)which cost such a lot at ordering and resale. Using their pricing a bog standard van would reap the best result.

A 204 DSG duo colour, white over Starlight Blue.

Not 4motion though, so a bit disappointed, but the van is in stock and I didn’t want to wait months and risk another emissions delay! I guess I’ll manage, missus can always get out and push! :thumb
Sounds lovely Colin. I've still got your old, old one with no plans to change just yet. I do like the sound of this one though so remember me in 3/4 years when it's time to change again!

Thanks Ross, hope you are all well and glad to hear the van is still with you; as you probably know by now you get attached to them! I’ll save this one for you when the time comes :thumb

I'm not actually sure if the site gives you the sold price, never found it anyway! :)

You are right, you do get attached to them, I've given mine a clean today and I'm already having second thoughts!

+ I noticed another tiny little ding in the door, probably knocks off about 10 grand of the valuation.

I'll only sell it if I get over 35.5k.

That sounds cheap for a 2016 DSG Beach?

Really? Thought it was a really good price!

I suppose for a trade sale with (hopefully) no hassle it’s not bad. Just looking at some for sale on here and it seems cheap. Mind you, they are for sale and not sold...

Try Tootle, we ended up getting an extra £1300 on my wife's Audi A4
Second that as I sold a BMW and a VW that way and got over £1000 more than WBAC quoted. No haggling over price on collection either, was honest about condition and any paint chips etc.
