Before I blow a small fortune at Go Outdoors, can anybody recommend a Campingaz supplier / refill retailer in East Yorkshire?

Have you looked on the Camping site. They have a Retailers Map. Word of warning, not all retailers sell the refillable 907/904/901 bottles.

Yes, some of the retailers are suppliers of the bottle only. Also, as you’ve pointed out, the retailers that do sell the gas give little detail on whether they refill / exchange the 907.

I just wondered if there were any local recommendations before I go to the usual suspects.

If you are going into France you will most probably find that 907 refills are about 2/3 of the UK price! Available from many large supermarkets over there.

We now have a 909 bottle - exchanged for an empty 907 + 35 Euros. Has anyone seen a 909 refill retailer in the UK?

No, and cannot find one either. Not that common in France or Spain either.

I have used Chorley Gas for a 907 bottle,it was cheaper at the time than a refill from Go outdoors. It’s showing at £35 for a bottle inc delivery to several postcodes in East Yorkshire. The bottle I had was brand spanking new. Not sure about the exchange cost but I guess it will be less.

Does look great value...too good? They charge £25 for a 907 refill, so does that mean the £35 is just the bottle only ('complete' with handle?). The wording on the link is detailed but doesn't actually say it's full.

I thought the going rate for an empty bottle was much more than the £10 difference.....Go Outdoors charge £40 for an empty bottle and £35 for the gas which has to bought at the same time.

But a bit more searching led me to Towsure who are selling empty 907s for £12.....so who knows but perhaps just double checking with Chorley before ordering.

Later Edit: It is full, and it does say so, as pointed out below. I'm obviously going blind. I'll leave the post as the other supplier info may be helpful.

We have used these before and had no problems. Taking 2 empty bottles back soon for exchange. £25 for a refill, £35 for gas and a bottle. They charge a tenner deposit on the bottles. Go Outdoors is a rip off by comparison.
