Hi been browsing the forum for a while and thought I should join. We have bought a 91 VW T4 LHD Westfalia California back in June which has been converted to with a Reimo high top at some point. We have been using it extensively over the summer months . . .

That’s interesting. Was that a common conversion?

From what I understand the original owners bought it then couldn't get used to the pop top so had it converted to Reimo. When we bought it we thought about converting it back but prefer the high top now.

As far as I can tell that is the original pop top bed.
Thats really good to know (that the way the pop up bed unfolds work withe reimo top).
Can you tell wich part do you bought from reimo for this? Everything their page has for insulation etc?

So much storage space :talktothehand
Hopefully the better half isn’t reading this !

You think is easy to converted back to the pop up roof?

It was already converted when we bought it the roof is double skinned, my daughter sleeps up there and loves it. It looks easy enough to convert back if required, the the roof is bonded on with sealant so wouldnt be too hard to remove with a bit of patience, the hardest part for us would have been finding a replacement westy pop up roof and the accessories, but too be honest after getting used to the space and height we wouldn't convert it now.

You could also consider the reimo pop up roof! It's imposible to find westfalia parts new as i was looking for the westfalia high top. But generally the high top worth it. You always have room for the head and a comfortable top bed!

Yes the Reimo kit seems very good quality.
