So we made up a little video of our road trip to Rømø in Denmark, via Belgium, Netherlands and Germany. Our first stop was Bruges and Alsemberg to visit our now friend Patrick @Auberg-ine and his family.

Patrick kindly showed us how to cook 3 courses on a ridge monkey pan on any camper stove. "Moules a la ridgemonkey" in Belgian Beer.

The video goes live at 3pm today, so be sure to subscribe and click the bell symbol to be notified :)

Video is now live, would really value opinions and views on what people would like to see in future. More of the travel and the places, more detailed recipes or simpler presentations and written recipes etc? The filming I can improve on over time but the content I really want to cater to peoples preferences :)

Views really welcome. :)

Thanks for sharing! A good video, I enjoyed it :)

Great video! Thanks for sharing!
I like the combination of travel-roadtrip and cooking

I'm deeply disappointed in you Matt. You promised me you would mount a Brad Pit head onto my body in post-production. :embarrased;)
Loved your speed-up mounting of the growing envelopes! :thumb
Concerning these pockets, what I learned in the meantime after some more experiments, is that it's better to fold one thicker quality foil twice at the borders of the pockets and then only once more for the corners. I found out that if these corners are too much and too small folded, the foil tends to break, and so still leaks (as you might have noticed in the video).
These prepared 2person/3course envelopes, exactly at the size of the RidgeMonkey compartments, just fit into a plastic container which just fits the fridge basket. The basked can take another two of those, meaning a full weekend supply, with still plenty of space for some bottles! ;)
I add some extra photos of what I like to put in more. The pears are better already cut in half (so the Amaretto is getting more infused) and twisted (so that the pockets are better fitting the pan). And the chocolate sauce pocket is nowadays just squeezed out like a tube. You saw the clip, you understand why. :embarrased

Auberg-ine steam pocket box.jpg Bon appétit!

Just now took the time to take a full look of the video as we been on the road the past week .
Great work from both Matt & Patrick ! Looks good and no doubt it tasted good !
Also glad to hear you enjoyed Belgium as most people only drive thru Belgium in one day ....they should take the time and visit our nice small country...lots to see and lots of good food to discover.

It tasted great and I do not usually like mussels (it is the second time they have been cooked on a video haha). The pears and amaretto was amazing, so nice especially with the chocolate sauce.
Patrick was very natural on the video and you can see when I am on camera I was smiling a lot.

I agree with you Wim, Belgium is too good to just drive through. Antwerp too was amazing on your recommendation and we got to spend time with you both on the way home. We fell in love with Belgium and Denmark on that trip. :)

I agree with you on all ;-)

It's the 'Connect Combi Set'.
Here it is, right after cooking on it in the Cali (showing how clean it stayed):
