What’s behind your Cali’s name?

Ours is called Flo. Reason is whenever we are in it we just “go with the Flo”.

15 year old defender 110 - Dave
A newer defender 110 - King Dave
A discovery 3 - Dave III (Dave the third)
A discovery 4 - Dave IV (Dave the fourth)

I always named my cars so when we saw the reg for the cali was zbe we thought of zebedee who from the Magic Roundabout is a kind of sixties free thinking type so it suited a cali. Unfortunately when I got him his reg was more zebra than zebedee but by then his name had stuck. And my daughter hates zebra stripes or animal fabrics. His full name is therefore Zebedee Zebra! And the dog is Buttons or Buttons James if he is naughty.

Zebedee’s a better fit for a Cali, I think, Paul. For the same reasons as you.

"Babs" as in Carry on Camping, because that is what she has enabled me to do. And I did think about getting her a bonnet bra!

Actually, she's named after Velma from Scooby Doo. But I can't for the life of me remember why. It might have been something to do with the Mystery Machine I think.
 
‘Poppy’ the poptop.
Named by the children.

Now has one on her ‘Nose’ too.
 
Ours is called BUG after our first Boxer dog below who sadly passed away few weeks before the vehicle arrived.

Sad that BUG didn’t get to enjoy the Cali. He looks like he’d have been well up for it in his day.

Becose it simply IS the one and only Hotel California
....and that happens to be the title of one of my top three songs ever.
 
Previous keepers called it SusiBus. I am called Robert (Bobby) and I am a retired police officer (bobby). So Bobbybus it had to be.

Ours is named Babs too.

But after Mrs White's lovely, lovely Granny - she was actually Vera but was always called Babs by the family. She would have loved the Cali.

EGZ. That is the first part of the matriculation plate. Got the original number wrong on the visitor permit for Morocco and had the dickens of a job trying to get out! Not for the moment as i ran out of pink champagne since new year :D
It’s normal champagne or cava for now.....
