Front Fog lights lens cracked....easy to fix

Hi All,

As per the title any-body replaced their Front fog light themselves as ours has a crack ?
Is it easy to do or a Dealer job?

Unfortunately you have not filled in your vehicle details in your profile so I can only guess what year yours is.
On the T6 you have to take the bumper off, not impossible, there are a few youtube videos on how to remove the bumper.

I replaced one of my foglights when it was broken. I have the sportline spoiler and all I had to do was pop the grill/fog light surround trim part off the front. The fog light is held on with only three screws. No bumper removal needed.

Our Cali is a 2012 T5, having checked this weekend the trim around the fog light is a separate part.

Hi cbdubs did you use a trim tool to ease the surround off from the front?

No. I used an old fashioned butter knife wrapped in a thin cloth. Trim panel came out quite easily.

If it’s the same as mine a 5.1 there’s a tab that needs to be pulled to remove the surround. It’s accessed through a hole just in front of the light. Once the tab is clear the panel comes off with a bit of oomph.

Took me a trip to the dealer to work out how to get it off, not helped by the handbook saying the tab should be pushed up!
