VW commercial dealers to hire vans out from May 19

California Chris posted an interesting blog up the other day stating that Liverpool CV will be trying out the hiring of vehicles out of the depot. Unsure of the exact deets but it should be interesting. May put a few hire companies out of work....

Leicester vw already do. Although the van came with no kit, no gas etc. We had one and just used our own camping kit, gave us the push we needed to get one.

They’ll refund the cost if you go on to buy, although their offer was so poor it still wasn’t worth it in the end.

We hired from Benfields VW at Newcastle before we ordered.

Quite a few van centres already hire out their Cali's but all you get is a van as mentioned above, you won't get any kit with it which is pretty useless to anyone who has never camped before

Ours came with full kitchen and dining gear and bed topper, only needed to chuck in our sleeping bags and clothes.

I think it will work well, -- thinking of buying a Cali hire one for the weekend. Then buy one -- I am sure you could negotiate the cost back if you buy.
