Bought to use on a Mercedes Benz Marco Polo in combination with a Thule Velospace XT3 tow bar mounted bike rack. It works perfectly allowing the rear door to open when the bike rack and backspace are tilted away from the car. Please note, at the time of writing this report the Velospace XT3 bike rack is the ONLY bike rack from Thule that tips to 70 degrees allowing the back to to open without coming into contact with the rack. Highly recommend this system if you are looking to gain more luggage space. Very high quality as you would expect from Thule.
