Hi I've bought this kettle for 2008 California but it doesn't fit in the sockets. Do I need an adapter? Thanks20210602_165928.jpg

Looks like a standard 12V Cigarette lighter Socket plug. Should fit in OK.
hey take a long time to boil.

These 12v kettle are a big draw on the leisure battery, they draw between 10 and 15 amps. Don't understand why you need a 12v kettle when you have gas. Gas will heat far quicker and be more efficient.

I seem to remember Amarillo is the expert on 12v kettles ( it’s what he was famous for prior to chickengate) - wasnt it something like an hour for the kettle to boil and a day to wreck to the batteries doing it?

If the kettle is for use on hook up get a normal 800w kettle.

not on hook up use gas either in van or portable device, only boil the amount of water you need.(or use a flask)
heating water is not energy efficient and trying to do so via 12v will take an inordinate time and destroy a battery quickly (very quickly)
IMO 12v kettles should be consigned to the bin. (Not fit for purpose)

Thanks guys! Glad I asked the question before trying to use it with the adapter. Will stick to using the gas!
