180, 199, 204 Bi turbo reality

Stumbled across this on the tube. Certainly just adds to the misinformation that is VW it seems. There is no doubt the T6 Turbo/EGR etc is very different to the earlier T5/5.1 era set up as confirmed by VW Guru when he was around. Short of it is the 199 is the least stressed of these units so consequently has the most tuning headroom.
 
Their early video about the 180’s problems was a real disappointment. They (Darkside) have a great reputation but the video was badly prepared and thought out. It could have been much clearer and authoritative. I had some work done with them and was left with mixed feelings. A place is clearly only as good as the mechanic working on your van, and they soon let go of mine. Their set-up, and some of the people are first rate.
 
Interesting. I took out the new D240 Defender 110 back in September and was scratching my head as my Cali "felt" quicker! I even compared graphs and torque curves. Amazed to find out its probably only pushing out "160hp".
