6.1 Boot/Tailgate “freezing”

I have a Dec 2020 registered California.

I don’t know if I’m missing a trick with double locking or there is an issue with the boot door in colder temperature.

It doesn’t unlock with other doors before eventually working and is unresponsive when pulling the handle to open. Tried to see if a recall issue but nothing popping up.

Anyone have anything similar?

Mine started doing that before packing up entirely in the open position, had to hold the boot shut with a bungee.
A pattern lock mechanism was cheap enough from Amazon I think, hardest part of the job was getting the inner trim off the door (non Cali, so no chair holder to deal with) - and you’ll likely need the big torx socket to get the old unit off.

Might be worth dousing in WD40 first, but ultimately itll need a new mech
