ABS or not

Hi,
can anyone tell me if my 1993 California has ABS?

I didn’t think the T4’s had it on the early models??

MOT centre failed mine today as ABS light on cluster doesn’t illuminate!

Never noticed a light for it, the early clusters are pretty basic.

Simplest way to check is look in the battery compartment, behind the headlight and in front of the battery. There will be a large aluminium lump with a number of hydraulic pipes bolted into it. That’s the ABS unit.

I think it was manual ABS on those early ones? My 93 didn’t.

My '93 has ABS.

Warning light is located on the switch facia in a cluster with the check brake and check engine lights

So turns out my early Westy has all the ABS kit under the bonnet which is working fine, but no ABS light on cluster or dashboard!

Not sure why this hasn’t come to light in previous MOT’s ( excuse the pun)

So I took my Cali to a different MOT station and it passed first time,

No mention of the ABS light!

Another year of Cali adventure!!
