Hi all,
We have just got a used approved 2013 Cali...never used by anyone for more than driving a few miles. Which is great, but there's a lot that we haven't managed to work out.

Leisure batteries - how do we initially charge them? Are we meant to have been supplied with a lead that works with UK plugs or is it standard practice to have to buy an adapter?

Also having trouble getting the lid off the water tank for the initial clean...any tips?!

We can't wait to get going but getting a little frustrated that we can't do the basics yet!

:thanks

Hi and welcome to the club!

The leisure batteries charge up when you are driving, but in periods when you don't drive the vehicle it is best to hook up to the power supply and charge the batteries for a couple of days about once a month.

You will need a mains lead such as this;

This can be used when you go to a camp site that has hook up.

If you need to top up the batteries at home then you need a 3 pin connection such as this;

If you go abroad then you Cali should have a european connection supplied with it.

The water tank lid is difficult to remove with some members making their own tool to remove it. I clean the tank by pouring sterilising fluid through the exterior opening and then filing up the tank from there. Have a look at the photo on this link by CALIKEV a forum organiser.
