Any GC 680 owners splatted these ugly stickers on their UK plated 680?...in Europe (definitely Germany) they are plated at 3.5 tonne so no need....but our plated at 3.8....so theoretically a must have.
Must confess I've driven many thousand miles in France since COVID and I've never seen a 680 with these wretched stickers...so I've not bothered.

We have them. Magnetic ones. In our glove box . We partly forgot about them but also realised very few mohos had them and even fewer vans. We didn’t get stopped, although I guess it’s always possible,

I think a lot of people leave them off as they highlight that you are over 3.5tnne so get hit for the higher tolls & lower speed limits

I don’t think you do get hit for higher tolls - tolls are on height - we are Category 2 at 4.2t but if you have an air con unit the extra height pushes you into Category 3

If you are over 3.5tnne or over 3m you are Category 3 see below even shows a picture of a camper in category 3 - the other annoyance is that the toll tags are limited to 3.5tnne as well. IMG_7387.jpeg

We use magnetic ‘angles mort’ stickers for France, easy to fit/remove. Tolls nowadays in France are all automated, they have height sensors and will charge you class 3 if over 3M.

But not weight sensors...so a 680 will be charged as class 2 ...as mine has always been

I don’t know for sure but given the toll is not related to the actual weight of your van but on its registered V5 maximum gross weight then I’d guess it’s not based on weight sensors. The height of course is a non variable and easy to measure. Very likely in a 680 especially without the rooftop ac you will be seen as a class 2.

I have roof top AC on my 680 and always charged as class 2...but....I believe class is based on maximum allowed mass or GVW....so a 680 should be class 3
