Another T5 interior roof light question

I don't think this has been covered before - hope not! - has anyone found a brighter bulb and if so could they let me have details.

Many thanks - I'm hoping for a cheap improvement, especially as from what I can gather, the replacement bendy light unit people have used - osram co pilot - is not brighter than the original.

I just changed the original bulb to LED. I assume you mean the bendy light for the upper bed?

I just found a picture of a diff bendy light:

Found this on caliboard.de as a replacement for the old lamp. Problem was to fit the new lamp.

Thanks Sapto - yes I'm definitely hoping not to have to replace the bendy light as a whole - just the bulb! Assuming the LED bulb you have used is brighter than the original (otherwise I'll just stick with the original), I don't suppose you have the detail I would need to order It?

Sorry my mistake. I meant the other interior lights (I changed to LED)I couldn‘t find any details on a replacement bulb for the bendy light.

This bulb from Osram fitted. Tight fit, need to push bulb through collar.

2x Osram LED T4W (233) 1w 12v Warm White 4000K Bulbs

Not noticeably so. I’ve now got the latest VW LED replacement from the Forum Shop. That is brighter. The flexible stalk failed on mine but I fixed it but the family bought the new light for my birthday.

Oh well - that puts me back in the market for the full replacement .... actually my birthday is coming up!
