Booked ticket and camping for the Wickham Festival this coming weekend. Is anyone else going or camping there?

Not I. For those who are uninitiated, what are the festivities in Wickham?

Haven't been before but they have lots going on. I am going on a historical walking tour of Wickham on Saturday morning and they have been really helpful answering all my questions.
Going on my own but sure I will make some friends and at least the weather looks promising :thumb

Looks awesome! I'm a huge Richard Thompson fan.

It look's fantastic. Have a great weekend all those going.

Alas I think that I might be alone :(
I only saw it a couple of weeks ago but if it is good this year I will make sure that I mention it on the forum earlier next year. They are quite relaxed about you reserving pitches for friends.

I am baby sitting otherwise I would be joining you.

Next year perhaps!

Yep we are going. It’s a really friendly festival. Hopefully drier than last year. We got towed onto site ( only the last 100m or so). Hopefully on mixed camping field for us. Motor home and caravan field is a stubble field.

If it is dry then stubble is ok.
Stubble is/ can be very hipster on the right face.......
:cheers

The forecast is good so hopefully it will be ok.
I have booked Motorhome field as thought that the camping was tents only.
Oh well, will see how it goes but might pack the boots just in case!

He is. And big in Nashville, I understand. But as laconic as ever. He had a little set on the OGWT 30 year thing earlier this year.

Hope those who went to Wickham had a good time! I was seeing Chrissie Hynde, Jim Kerr and KT Tunstall in Kent.

I have to do Wickham Festival this year on the Saturday at least.
Frank Turner floats my boat....:thumb

Haven’t booked yet this year but might do...
Will try and arrive earlier this year and not be squished in to a small space with people traipsing past both sides of my van on the way to the festival/showers/loos!

Just booked on early saver rate ( expires tonight!).
The camping looks to be much better this year, on grass with tarmac road access.
I did enjoy myself last year and will book for the bell ringing trial if they have it this year.
Wickham embraces the festival and is a lovely place to visit on the free shuttle buses.
