Anyone have a contact with an owner in Germany?

Following on from the oil consumption discussion, I have been wondering what the situation is on main land Europe, more specifically in Germany.

It occurs to me that, as with the roof, this issue must have been raised with VW direct and they will have responded to claims.

So in order for Bernard and myself, and possibly other 2010/11 180bhp CFCA engined Cali owners to come to a satisfactory agreement with VWUK concerning this issue, we could do well to know what has happened with German owners with this issue and if any president has been set.

Well I do know that when I first reported my vans issue at VW Trier in Germany while there for WRC Rally last summer, they knew of the problem and said they had fitted at least 3 new engines to vans with the CFCA 180BHP.

Have a look at tx-board.de, the German T5/T6 forum. You will find many threads on the issue there, e.g. this one with currently 1364 posts... Or this one with a listing of who started to have the issue at which mileage.
