hi all
I’m looking to have a few winter weekends away , any advice on awnings - do I need one at all?
Is a drive away better than the other sort ( not sure of terminology?.)
Sorry if these are basic questions but totally green - but enthusiastic!
It’ll only be one night or 2 away at a time .

Being 2 up only we do not find we need an awning. We also tend to tour rather than stay for along time at anyone place.

Depends how much space you need. We use the Comfortz Leisure one when we need a little extra if its wet. It accommodates 4 of us and the dog. Can be taken down in 5 minutes too if you’re touring. Used it skiing last year for a drying room so it’s useful in winter.

Are you saying do I need the factory wind out awning or go for the driveaway awning instead?

Personally we have the factory wind out awning as sometimes thats all we need if it’s raining or require some shade, but as above we also carry a Comfortz awning room should we need the extra space for storage etc.

just remember to tie down the wind out awning if your leaving it out while you go to the pub.

Used the factory awning just couple times and decided to remove it. Vehicle looks way slicker without it.

We have a Vango Kela III driveway awning. However, unless staying somewhere for a while we prefer to use a small pop-up tent. It only takes only a few mins to put up/take -down & is ideal for storing stuff.
