Beach 3 seater rear bench seat

Hi all, I have a 2023 beach with 3 seats in the rear. I fitted seat covers the other day and when doing so I noticed the base of the rear seat (part you sit on) doesn’t lock in place. The back rest locks in fine. I’m not sure if this is normal as never tried lifting the seat base before. Does anyone know or able to check in there van please?

It’s the sort of thing I would have expected to lock in place but may just be me overthinking it?

Are you referring to the seat base being able to be lifted up slightly? (enough to get an arm into the gap )

if so that is perfectly normal

Yes that’s it, thanks for confirming. I thought it must have been broken but couldn’t see how as the pull mechanism only does the back rest. It’s been driving me mad so thought best to check
