Just wondered if anyone had looked at one of these or bought one? http://evomotiondesign.co.uk/product/pod-1/

I'm heading off to NZ with my Beach in the Spring and I'm looking for something that would allow me to self certify for wild camping http://www.nzmca.org.nz/self-containment/

This might be be a good bet especially if you could get them to fit 2 x 24 litre containers - looks like there is plenty of room. Just remove it when you get back and store it in the garage with the fifth seat, bike rack, roof rack and other stuff you never use :laugh2

Basically you need to be self sufficient for 3 days for 2 people this equates to 24 litres fresh water, 24 litres grey water and about 7.5 litre for the Porta Potti.

Not really worried about the single burner, although it could be handy for a quick brew when its howling in the Roaring Forties :bananadance

Any other thought / solutions?

This is a good design... I have to say that as it's almost identical to the one I put together and sent to a few people for quotes to use in my T4 Multivan (Behind the passenger seat).

I say almost identical, mine was a little shorter. More from an aesthetics perspective and to retain the feeling of space the Multi gives. Also had a little 12v gel lead acid battery which could be charged when in the van but also allowed it to be used in the awning making it truly flexible.

Nice design indeed but when I wanted to order, they couldn't deliver, it was just a plan.
I went for http://maxxcamp.de/en/modules/multimodu ... /index.php and I'm very happy with it.

Some nice things on their site I had looked at the anchoring plate for my Waeco fridge but thought twice at 198 euros! I had missed these units.

The units look good:

What is the space like with the bed down? The site says they are for the Caravelle and Beach with three seat bench, so I'm wondering whether the bed in the two seat bench comes further forward and whether there is the space.

Can you get them in UK, if not what was the delivery charge like?

Shame about the Evo Design Pod 1, as it looked ideal for me. I'll still give them a call to see what their plans are as I still have a few months to get it sorted.
