Dear Belgian members,

Our first maintenance check is approaching and I have no clue where to start looking for a decent vw dealer, much less a dedicated California specialist. What´s your experience? Do you have any particular dealer you would recommend (or avoid)? Are you satisfied with the service so far? I´d be very grateful for any insight.
I´m based in Brussels but ready to venture out of town if it´s worth it.

Thanks in advance!

Only been back once to my dealer in Antwerp (VW Beerens , biggest in Antwerp) for a free check up , and from then on to Camper Centrum Nederland
http://www.campercentrumnederland.nl/
Nothing beats them in the BeNeLux .
Reccomend them strongly!

I was happy with Delbar at Moeskroen. They have a Cali in the showroom and the knowledge. The other dealers in my region (Kortrijk) didnt know anything about it...

Thanks both of you!

Actually I already know about CCN, I had a Bearlock installed there a year ago and was very pleased with the service. I´m sure they´re in the know, but it´s a 2 hour drive (one way, so 4 hours all in all). I was wondering, maybe some of you know a competent dealer nearer here in Belgium, at least for the regular mechanical service, not necessarily california-specific.

Or do you really think it´s worth it the 400 km drive? Maybe it is, I´m just starting to wonder. Actually it´s not that much if it´s just once every two years, roughly...

I make it at least a once a year vistit there , you could combine it in a weekend trip as they work on sathurday .
If you make a reservation sathurday morning , you can leave for a weekend Holland by noon...
If i go for maintenance i leave late fridayevening afther dinner , arrive arround 11-12pm at theire parking and spend the night there . At 9am reservation you are the first in ...enjoying the showroom and coffee while the Cali get a maintenance a few hours later your off for the weekend
Guess you can try the Moeskroen dealer , give them a vistit and hear them out ...ask them a few specific questions regarding Cali's and see if can give a answer...

That´s pretty smart! :D Not a bad idea at all combining the visit with a weekend or even sleeping right there. In the end it´s true that they´re specialists at CCN and should give you peace of mind regarding maintenance and such. I´ll give it a thought

After contacting a couple of dealers around here and not getting convincing answers, I went and paid a visit to CCN in Amersfoort. I have to say I was very pleased with their service, they surely know their trade, know the vehicle inside out, you get everything explained, good advice too... Definitely worth the long drive, especially if you intend to keep the van for long, as we do.
Thanks again for the tip!
