Speeding to the rescue
Police drove a Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4, below, from Padova to the Gemelli hospital in Rome, bottom, to deliver a kidney for urgent transplant surgery. The journey took two hours rather than the normal six.

Bloody hell. Car magazine. Old geezer with a beard.

I actually saw the Italian police Lambo just outside Bologna once upon a time.

Why not a Helicopter? was my first thought.
Not always the fastest form of transport from A to B. May not have been any convenient Heleports or landing sites.
Civilan Helecopters max out at about 160mph depending on weather conditions and load etc.

If anyone saw the tribute to Sir Stirling Moss on Top Gear, perhaps he was trying to emulate Stirling's Mille Miglia in just over 10 hours!!!!!!

Digressing... a neighbour’s father died in a crash whilst taking part in the Mille Miglia, a brutal race.

2 hours in stead of 6, so they had time for a photo oppertunity...

Well, it’s good to know that a Huracan does have room for a cooler box.
