Broken courtesy step light

This is annoying. I'm sure it's not just T6 that is affected (I found this thread), but given it might get the odd knock by your foot it seems incredibly weak.

This is mine after about 10 outings:


What is everyone else's general experience? Did you rush out to the dealer to replace? Warranty or wear and tear?

Looks like it has been bashed rather hard.

If the dealer wants your custom they will replace it. They are not very expensive to buy though, and just clip in the step trim panel so an easy fix.

I was wondering whether anyone had found an aftermarket LED replacement for these (2011 SE) as all of mine have one or more of the tiny bulbs out and all the cover plates are held together with superglue as they keep getting kicked off.
