Not long now, Friday week. Just after some up to date info as I've not been before.
  • Is there a special entrance we need to head for for the club camping?
  • What are the showers like? I'm not bothered as I'm an old hippy but my son is a neat freak and he needs his hair done.
  • We're aiming to be there around lunchtime, when are others rocking up?
  • Are we getting involved in any arena events?
Really looking forward to it, look out for the red Cali called "Red".

Hi, very much looking forward to it.
The arrival info should be in your email with the tickets to print out/ show on the gate.
Should say enter via the Yellow gate. Plenty of signs as you approach the Three Counties Showground to guide you in. Expect to queue, it’s very busy.

Not far from our club pitch is a proper toilet block with showers, so should be ok.
There are no plans to get involved in arena events. Just socialise and enjoy the massive show.

Look forward to meeting you and “Red”.

Chris

Thanks. TBH I've not read the tickets...my bad.
See you there.

Chris, my ticket only mentions family camping even though it clearly says California Club? Is it definitely yellow gate as last year I seem to remember it was brown?

Apologies @Loz2286 , @GillianC is correct, you enter through the Brown Gate. On the top right hand corner of your camping ticket it should say "Club Camping Unit (VwCaliforniaClub)" but you will be using the Brown Gate.

Specific instructions as found on the tickets:

Follow the AA Signage to the Three Counties Showground, Malvern (not your Sat Nav’s).
FAMILY CAMPING TICKETS follow route through the day visitors car park to the BROWN GATE banding station.
Gates will open between 10.00 – 20.00 on FRIDAY 09th SEPTEMBER
Gates will open between 09.00 – 13.00 on SATURDAY 10th SEPTEMBER

Again, sorry for any confusion caused!
It is well marked up and you will find your way!

I am really looking forward to it...so much my wife now wants to come as well...its my first time ...please could you all confirm it's really boring, very noisy at night and full of boring old campervan owners who will be talking about sagging pop top roofs, ridge monkeys, thetfords and awnings! Only joking I am sure she will enjoy it...

Just to add to the confusion, we went out through the yellow exit as it’s much closer
As Chris says very well signposted and the tickets are clear as mud!

Sorry All, I was clear about which gate to go through to the showground until I read the above.
The tickets say

I understand this to mean we should go in the yellow gate because we fall outside the instructions above. i.e. we are not holding Family Camping Tickets, we are in fact holding "Club Camping Unit VwCalifornia Club" tickets.
Sorry was clear now confused!
Cheers for now. Rik

“Yellow gate outside of the above” refers to the times I think you’ll find.

To get to club camping they take you in the brown gate, past the family camping, through the edge of the main site and down the side of the big white entertainment marquee. Our pitch is then just along from that marquee, a row or so back.
Honestly, it will be clear and obvious on the AA signs, it will list which groups go to which gate colour.

Roughly from the brown gate (top left) you will follow the yellow line I’ve drawn on the map to our Club area. We may be slightly more to the left and back of where I’ve marked but it’s somewhere in this area. Hope this helps.

A great help. Thanks. Happy now I can see Family and Club camping on the map. Thanks again.

Thank you Chris. Last year the people on the gate had no idea where the club camping was but we found it. In fact we ended up
In a different club thanks to you

I know what you mean, but it could be taken the wrong way :D

With 48 Cali’s booked in Club camping I’m not sure I could be so accommodating this year unfortunately!
No I think we struck lucky as there was lots of space last year.
It was very much appreciated.
I have since left that group.
Very much looking forward to this year.

No driving around with the roof up!

Ok, big thanks to everyone who’s booked, we are now fully booked with 51 Cali’s on our Club pitch. This must be some sort of record, should everyone turn up!

Please be patient upon arrival as it is normally very busy at the gates.

We have a lot of vehicles to fit in so it will need a little bit of organisation, your patience and cooperation will be very much appreciated.
You be will guided with regards to where to pitch upon arrival at the Club camping area, so please look out for that guidance before just pitching up anywhere!
Thanks in advance.

See you all Friday!

Any questions please don’t hesitate to ask.
