Looked in the wardrobe, the shelf under the mirror had disappeared. The glue holding the bracket had melted. It is on my drive which is mainly in shade. Hope not too many other pieces are just glued on.

Surely they must test these £60,000 vehicles in more exteme conditions than the UK.

It happens all the time here in Spain and it's a nuisance. I think the glues used are designed to be removable like post it notes but stronger. Temp's inside a stationary vehicle can reach ridiculous (and dangerous) levels, even in the UK. Hence all the warnings about leaving kids and/or dogs in the car. The metal trim at the top of the wardrobe popped off in the heat regularly (now fixed with a rivet). Last week, my CO alarm (which has a temp read out on it) maxed out at 50C and went into error mode. I had to cool it down so it would work again. Anything using glass suction cups (dashcam) is likely to drop off as well. We try to park in the shade as much as possible and use reflective foil window screens.

My DIY storage pockets above the fridge fell off due to adhesive failure last week! Daren't roll out the awning in case the seam goes!

Can anyone remember those days when as soon as the temperature got into the high 20's so the rear view mirror would drop off? :shocked

It regularly happened with one of our old cars!

I put my awning out last week, and guess what.... the seam parted company and left me with half the awning flapping around !!!!!!
