Can anyone identify this?

Found this in the van after 4 years of ownership. Seems important but I don't know what it is. The bit at the top swivels. I am assuming the bit at the bottom is a handle for something. Any ideas?

It's the top off the gas bottle, should put it back on when you remove it.

It’s the screw on cap for the camping gas bottle. If you ever take the gas bottle out of its holder, make sure its attached as the ball bearing in the bottle is prone to leak.

You will also struggle to find a gas place to exchange the bottle without that on it.

If you find you haven’t got the top just take it off the exchange bottle and screw on old bottle always worked for me.

I'm shocked.

It is actually the pop-top levelling key,

As you will read, so often, on this forum, peoples pop-tops go up unevenly. They tilt, from one side to the other, dependant on alcohol intake. The key that you have in your hand corrects this. You screw it into the underbody alcohol release nozzle and sniff deeply.

All part of the VW enhanced hospitality package.
