Can you cover the speakers in the locker

Hi everyone - brand new Cali owner (1 week in). We're planning our first trip and intend to use the rear drop down locker for toiletries and towels etc. Is it okay for things (not of any weight) to sit over the speaker covers? I realise this could impair the sound, just concerned about potential damage. Thanks and apols if this is a numpty question

We had a load of clothes piled up in that locker and covering the speakers on our last trip away. No obvious sign of damage to the speakers when the locker was unloaded.
There should still be enough air space around the speaker cones for them to oscillate.

The back of the covers is just the speaker magnet. Should not effect sound in any way by covering with clothes. The sound comes out the front
