We are looking for a carpet for the T6.1 California, preferably with rail spaces.

The Brandrup ones seem very limited with colour, grey or grey?!

Can anyone point me in the direction of a more colourful option? Thank you everyone

I bought a an off cut of carpet (a fairly rigid “non domestic” Non fraying type) and cut it to fit. I used double sided carpet tape to secure and it worked a treat! I was able to accommodate the 3 rails and the opening of the drawer. I made up a paper template to ensure the carpet was cut as accurately as possible.
Probably cost me around £20 and had enough left over to make a single carpet for the footwells.

We bought from here. Also had "Audrey" (what my wife calls our camper!) on the carpet. The carpet is in two pieces so when moving the bench to set up the bed, you simply place one bit on top of the other.

I favour a simple carpet off-cut which I have trimmed to fit the area. Not stuck down. It works really well because it’s so easy to whip it outside for a quick shake to get rid of all the leaves/sand etc -much easier than brushing. It just rolls or doubles over when we need to slide the bench seat forwards

Sadly they have stopped doing carpets as of a few weeks ago…:-(

Such a shame about campervan carpets.

Where do people buy their 2 piece carpets in absence of this shop? It seemed a great idea to be able to slide one over the other when bed out.

Marvel mats from Dunelm is another option. Buy the 50cm wide runners and just cut them down. I have gone off the striped ones though as they seemed to create a lot of fluff on the top and the back started to disintegrate. The ones that are a more carpet style may be better.

Forgot to mention it’s just the end that you need to cut down. The width will fit fine and you can stack them when making the bed.

TBH, while the carpets were nice and the sliding a good idea they just became another thing to cart about and we found the drawer stopped opening properly. We binned any carpet a while ago and our van life has been all the better, easier and cleaner for it.

Thanks, I see they are 150cms long and 50cms wide, presume they don’t unravel when cut?

Yes fair point, I do like the coziness of a bit of carpet though, I have the wood effect floor and it feels a bit cold and clinical but all about personal preference I guess. That said it’s easy to wipe clean.

Exactly that. We have the Oxo dustpan to brush it down and an abundance of wipes for keeping all surfaces clean. Inc the wood effect floor. Always seemed a shame to have it and hide it and much prefer it on “show”.

Interesting, I’m thinking carpet winter months, no carpet summer

We have a couple of cheap homebase carpet-like doormats which don't really get in the way of the drawer, we shuffle them around to put our feet on when the floor's cold and we can use as an outside door mat or tent mat as needs be.

No, they are fine and don’t unravel.

Buy some nice camping down lined slippers (and pipe if you wish), you won't need carpets and your ready for a midnight dash to the loo!
