Has anyone found a cheap solution? I wondered about trying the khyam sun canopy on our wind out awning as a cheap front panel after we found 5 of us a squeeze to keep dry under the wind out awning in a storm!

It comes with the kador already attached & at only £55 thought it might be worth a try but wondered if anyone else has already tried this? Presumably the corners could be pegged down using the holes that the poles would usually be inserted into.

It's this one I was looking at:

Yes, I've been down this road. Like you, while I love the wind out awning I find that it's not large enough for some situations - particularly for an extended shelter from wind or a sun shade.

I looked around for ages for suitable canopies (couldn't find an extra large one), looked into making one myself (don't have a suitable sewing machine or skills) and asked existing suppliers if they could make one to my design (they quoted a laughable price) etc. Then I eventually found a larger-size canopy from Lightning Leisure for £65, who add kador strips to an offf-the-shelf Gelert tarp http://www.lightningleisure.com/acatalo ... nopys.html.

It attaches to either the existing awning rail or the rail at the other side of the van. I don't think it's the perfect solution (it does give more flexibility, though), and I'm yet to fully experiment with it.
