With the weather starting to cool off and this being our first van and first time heading out over the weekends ahead.

Do you have any hints and tips for camping in these cooler temps in our GC?

We just set the heating to 15 degrees at night, works a treat, whether on or off grid, and actually doesn’t use much gas to do this when of grid, and unlike diesel heaters it’s silent.

Ah, we have a diesel heater but i take it it will be just white noise hopefully.

Not actually run the heating yet.

I use a 15 tog Hungarian goose down duvet in winter. Keeps me nice and toasty!

With the truma heating system you need to keep the van interior toasty otherwise the frost protection valve will dump the water when the air temperature drops below 5 degrees. If on ehu or gas we find 15 degrees more than pleasant, summer weight quilts are enough

Thanks

I had read in other posts about the water emptying out, that is something we definitely want to avoid as we are mostly wild camping.

Also planning a trip into Europe over Xmas and new year so would like to get the basics sorted before we leave.
